How We Evaluate Hearing Supplements
Our editorial team applies a consistent framework across every hearing health review. Here are the criteria we use.
Ingredient Evidence
We only feature products containing ingredients with at least one peer-reviewed human trial. Animal studies and in-vitro data alone do not meet our inclusion standard.
Transparent Dosing
Proprietary blends that obscure individual ingredient amounts cannot be evaluated against clinical dosing benchmarks. We prefer — and flag — products with disclosed per-ingredient quantities.
Format & Bioavailability
Ingredient form matters. We assess whether formulations use standardized extracts (e.g. EGb 761 for Ginkgo) rather than raw powders, and whether delivery formats support absorption.
Safety & Interactions
We flag any ingredient interactions relevant to commonly prescribed medications in adults 50+ — including blood thinners and blood pressure drugs. Our reviews include explicit safety notes where warranted.
